Why did you build PracticeOS?
I wanted a practice journal that felt like it was designed by a musician, not a productivity company. PracticeOS helps me stay consistent while keeping a meaningful record of my musical journey.
Who is PracticeOS for?
Anyone who practices an instrument intentionally. Whether you’re learning guitar, piano, bass, drums, or vocals, PracticeOS is built to help you reflect, improve, and stay consistent.
Is PracticeOS free?
Yes. The core experience is completely free. My goal is to make great practice accessible, while future optional Pro features may expand what’s possible.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Just download the app and start practicing. There are no accounts, passwords, or complicated setup steps.
Is my data private?
Absolutely. PracticeOS is local-first, which means your practice journal stays on your Mac. Your sessions aren’t uploaded to a server or shared with anyone.
Can I use it offline?
Yes. PracticeOS works completely offline, so you can practice anywhere without an internet connection.
Is PracticeOS only for guitarists?
Not at all. I built it while learning guitar, but it’s designed for any musician who wants to practice more intentionally.
Why is it only available on macOS?
Because it’s the platform I use every day. Rather than building for every device, I chose to focus on creating the best possible experience for Mac users first.
Will there be more features?
Definitely. PracticeOS is something I use every day, so it will continue to evolve alongside my own musical journey. Every update is driven by real practice, not feature checklists.
